Behind the Scenes: The Lure of Elk Camp
I’ll admit, I didn’t exactly know what I was getting myself into when I signed on for the elk camp story – ha! Or should I say I hadn’t anticipated sitting among animal skulls, rattlesnake skins and an elk head. But then again, I would never in a million years think I’d be shooting a gun – a muzzleloader at that. Seriously though, it was awesome! Prior to visiting Doug Headley’s elk camp, I hadn’t shot a gun, nor had Jenny Dagdagan, our photographer for this story. But these guys were adamant and there was no gettin’ out of it – so what the heck, we gave it a shot …literally.
